55 years young and we’re going all out!
For five and a half decades, we’ve been pushing new Canadian work, backing iconic playwrights, and premiering bold new plays. From our early days in a repurposed candle factory above an auto-body shop at 374 Dupont Street, to our converted warehouse days at 207 Adelaide Street to our current golden era at 125 Bathurst, it’s been a wild ride – and we’re not slowing down anytime soon. We’re still as keen as ever to keep supporting Canadian theatre and the artists making it all happen.
This birthday, we want to celebrate with you – our Factory friends who’ve supported us all along the way. Thank you! For coming to our shows, gracing us with your talent, and braving the Bathurst streetcar. Making art is hard work. Let’s have FUN.

Factory 55 Campaign!
Whether it’s $5 or $55, there are so many ways to support Factory Theatre, and we’re grateful for whatever path you choose.
In celebration of our 55-year commitment to Canadian plays and artists, we’re launching a Factory 55 campaign! We’re hoping that 55 of you will join us in building the next chapter of Factory Theatre by becoming a Factory 55 Monthly Donor. Over the course of the next year we are setting a goal of 55 monthly donors between May 2025 and May 2026. Factory 55 Monthly Donors will be commemorated on a plaque that will live in Factory’s Studio Bar at the end of this year long initiative.
