Job Posting: Development Associate
LOCATION: Toronto, ON
TYPE: Part-time, contract
LEVEL: Junior / Entry Level
COMPENSATION: $27.50 / hour based on 80 hours per month
DATES: ASAP to June 30 with option to renew
A part-time contract position suited for an early-career nonprofit and/or theatre professional providing administrative and communications support to Factory Theatre’s development department.
Responsibilities
- Processing donations in company database and internal financial reporting/tracking for all gifts
- Monthly financial reporting
- Administering charitable tax receipts
- Contact schedules and tracking for all lead donors and prospects
- Database maintenance
- Coordinate fulfilment of benefits and recognition (thank you messages, published donor lists)
- Copy writing for email and social content
- Quarterly donor impact newsletter
Work Conditions
- Up to 20 hours of paid time off for personal illness, emergency, or caregiving
- Hybrid with in-person required for some meetings / events and an in-office workstation available as needed
- Factory will provide company email and phone number, plus all required software
- Factory retains ownership of any work product
- Required to sign non-disclosure agreement
- Reports to Managing Director
