Job Posting: Foundation & Corporate Development Associate
LOCATION: Toronto, ON
TYPE: Part-time, contract
LEVEL: Minimum of 5 years experience in foundation and corporate gifts
COMPENSATION: $50 per hour, approximately 20 hours per month
A part-time contract position suited for an early-career fundraising professional in support of Factory Theatre’s development department through the identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of new and existing foundation and corporate prospects and donors, and administration of gifts of philanthropy/sponsorships and related stewardship programs.
Responsibilities
- Identify (through research), qualify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing foundation and corporate prospects/donors in support Factory Theatre funding priorities
- Draft proposals for a new and an existing portfolio of foundation and corporate donors
- Create sponsorship decks
- Coordinate meetings between prospective/secured funders and Factory staff
- Maintain an active calendar of application and reporting requirements
- Work with the Factory’s Development & Fundraising Manager to develop and implement stewardship plans for all active foundation and corporate donors
Required Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience as a foundation and corporate gift officer in the non-profit fundraising sector, with experience in the arts preferred. Strong writing and organization skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
