Andre du Toit is a designer for live performance based in Toronto. His designs have been seen across Canada and beyond, receiving five Dora Mavor Moore Awards for Outstanding Lighting Design. Recent lighting designs include: speaking of sneaking (Buddies in Bad Times); Maanomaa, My Brother (Blue Bird/Canadian Stage); The Queen in Me(COC/Amplified Opera/Nightwood Theatre Gargantua); Prince Hamlet, What You Won’t Do For Love (Why Not Theatre); R+J (Stratford Festival of Canada) Now You See Her, Mouthpiece (Quote Unquote Collective); Italian Mime Suicide, Paolozzapedia (Bad New Days). Set designs include, Monstrous Invisible, Just Us (Theatre Aquarius); Tomasso’s Party (Rooftop Creations).
