April Leung

Bio

April Siutong Leung (梁筱彤) is a Toronto-based performing artist and writer. She was born in Toronto and raised in Hong Kong since the age of three. Since then, April has returned to Canada and graduated from the Theatre and Drama Studios Program, a joint program between University of Toronto and Sheridan College, with a B.A. (Hons.) and a College Diploma in Acting.
April just finished working on No Foreigners, a co-production between fu-GEN Theatre Company (Toronto) and Hong Kong Exile (Vancouver) where she made her Vancouver theatre debut. She has also worked with companies such as Cahoots Theatre, Solar Stage and Carousel Players.

April was recently named one of the Cahoots Theatre’s 30 for 30 Artists – a group of theatre makers who they consider the future, and who they think will shape the next 30 years of Canadian theatre.
