Bio

Heidi Chan (any pronouns)

Heidi Chan creates music and sound for theatre and dance. They play bamboo flutes, modular synthesizers & electronics, and teaches East Asian music at Toronto Metropolitan University and develops electronic music curriculum at TMU’s Responsive Ecologies Lab (RE/Lab). Heidi has worked internationally as a live multi-instrumentalist with Shakespeare’s Globe (UK) and Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio (Hong Kong), and has performed in the US, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, Norway, and Poland. Heidi is also a member of various folk music ensembles and multidisciplinary collectives in Toronto.
