SOCHI FRIED grew up in New York City and Ottawa, and is currently based in Toronto. Primarily a stage actor, she has worked in theatres across North America and was named one of NOW Magazine’s Top 10 Theatre Artists of 2015. Recent theatre credits include: The Great Shadow (4th Line Theatre, Millbrook), Consumption Patterns (Next Stage Fest.), The Life & Death of Fred Herko (Rendezvous With Madness), Rosalynde (or As You Like it) (Driftwood), Measure for Measure (Shakespeare Bash’d), and Crossing Delancey (The Alliance, Atlanta). Her TV/ film credits include: “Transplant,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “American Gods,” “The Hot Zone,” Dada, Soft, Lemonade Stand Romance, Love at Sky Gardens, Guest of Honour (dir. Atom Egoyan), and The Drawer Boy. Sochi also narrated A Student of Weather, by Elizabeth Hay, for Penguin Random House Canada. She will be joining the Shaw Festival ensemble this year for their 2023 season.
